Microdermabrasion

Skin abrasion techniques have existed in various traditional forms for centuries. From Ancient Egypt (In 1500 BC Egyptian physicians used a form of sandpaper to smooth scars) to the modern-day cosmetic practice, dermabrasion has been known to be the “Buzz” word when it comes to non-invasive aesthetic treatments. The reason for this is that due to the abrasive effects of gently exfoliating the epidermis layer by layer, we are in theory tricking the skin into thinking it has experienced a mild injury. When the skin gets damaged its own natural response is to heal itself, and this happens by producing new skin growth (healthy cells). This works in turn to enhance the overall appearance and texture of the Epidermis.

Repeating this dermabrasion facial process over a period of time allows the dead skin cells and imperfections to be gradually replaced by new fresh skin cells. Early studies suggest that repeated Microdermabrasion treatments at regular intervals will positively influence the way the lower layers of skin grow, as well as removing deeper blemishes over time. In today’s terminology, we call this process Microdermabrasion treatment.

Microdermabrasion facials as we now know them were developed by an Italian company over 20 years ago, and over time this method of mechanical exfoliation has been adapted and fine tuned into the methods we see today. With this in mind, Nuderm Skincare Ltd would like to introduce you to the Nuderm Skincare System:

Our recently developed system has a modern twist on the traditional method of dermabrasion and other crystal Microdermabrasion machines. We don’t use Aluminium Oxide or Bicarbonate micro crystals like most other companies, as we feel that there is a much quicker, safer and more effective treatment procedure available. This is why we have implemented Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion technology into our systems; this utilises a diamond microdermabrasion machine and ensures that during each and every treatment we are performing involves a safe and controlled removal of the epidermis layer by layer without compromising on results or quality.

The Nuderm System utilises a professional microdermabrasion machine with a vacuum suction alongside the diamond tip head, meaning the dead skin particles that have been removed are sucked away into an interchangeable filter. This ensures a quicker and cleaner treatment than standard crystal Microdermabrasion. There are endless benefits to diamond tip Microdermabrasion which are outlined below, but when combined with the other elements of the Nuderm System you will achieve incredible results that simply cannot be achieved using any other machine.

Due to the gradual exfoliation of the epidermis, there is absolutely no risk to the end user of intermittent exfoliation or scarring. This system has been designed around the therapist and in doing so we have alleviated the risk to a minimum, making our machine one of the safest methods of mechanical exfoliation available in today’s market.
